India SME Forum for the small and medium enterprises, on Tuesday 8th October'13 organized its eighth event Secrets of Success -II at Le Meridian Coimbatore, The event was jointly organized by Reliance Commercial Finance, Sustainable Development Research & Consulting and Airtel.
The objective of this event was intended to provide a platform for knowledge sharing and Networking for eligible SMEs'for streamlining Finance and increasing overall competitiveness to progress in their line of businesses
The first session started with discussions on sustainable finance and the need for ratings that can help to enhance the financial capabilities and growth. Discuss and Implement Fiscal Discipline Ratings, Productivity of Capital & Labour
The proficient speakers Sharing best practices on understanding the need of Financial literacy and empowerment, capacity building were- Mr Nimesh Pareekh, Head Risk Containment Unit & Policy-Reliance Commercial &Home Finance, Mr Anbazhagan President of COSIEMIA SIDCO & CEO MAS, Solar systems Pvt Ltd, Mr Venkati Krishnan Dy., Zonal Manager Coimbatore Zone Bank of India and Mr Vinod Kumar, Country Head SDRC &Honorary VP, India SME Forum Mr B Gokul, Area Manager Chennai-SME Rating Agency
The first session ended with lunch and a brief networking session wherein SME's interacted face to face with the Experts for guidance and advice on individual businesses.
The second session progressed with discussions on Marketing and Branding strategies to increase customer reach use the new digital media as in the New Generation/ Social Media and Internet tools based marketing strategies to optimize customer reach and grow profitably .
Addressing the audience on the importance of branding and advertising and cost effective marketing strategies included panelists Mr Narayanan Satish Srinivasan, from Microsoft India, Mr Cherian Kuruvila, Managing Partner, CNC Transcend Management services,-Mr. P.Jagadeesan, CEO-Deepa Machinery and Mr Kumar, Country Head SDRC &Honorary VP,India SME Forum
Mr Vinod Kumar, Country Head SDRC &Honorary VP,India SME Forum moderated the sessions and also presented a case study on the need for all growing SMEs to create goal posts, a vision for long term and short term and the importance of nurturing brands.
The forum was a turning point for most attendees who have invited the India SME Forum secretariat to open a chapter in Coimbatore in association with COINDIA and COSIEMA and SME forum is definitely thinking about it" said Ms. Sushma Morthania, the Director General of the India SME Forum.
The session was the eighth event under the secrets of Success series and was successfully attended by around 150 SME's from Coimbatore and its surrounding clusters.
