The fifth event under the series titled-Secrets of Success was conducted at Rajkot on 17th Sept'13.The event was organized by Reliance Commercial Finance,Sustainable Development Research & Consulting and Airtel drawing attention to sustainable competitiveness & Managing Growth for profitability and increasing Financial Capabilities.
The objective of this event was to generate knowledge base for the smb's by sharing best practices through our Mentors and experts on how to create brand dominance through new innovative services which ultimately generate strong brand equity as the country depends on the sustainable growth of the SME'S
The Mentors sharing their views on the topic included Mr Nimish Parikh,Head- Risk containment Unit & Policy-Reliance Commercial &Home Finance ,Mr.Chandji Pandit,Dy. Zonal Manager-Vadodra Zone, Bank of India,Mr.Narendra Patel,Vice President-Rajkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry,Mr Mukesh Pandey ,Area Head- Gujarat SME Rating Agency ,Mr Ajay Thakur, Head-SME Business ,BSE and Mr Vinod Kumar ,Country Head-SDRC& Honorary VP,ISF
The session ended with lunch and a brief networking session wherein SME'S interacted face to face with the Experts for guidance and advice on individual businesses
The second session started with Mr Prahlad Kakkar addressing the enthralled audience.Mr Kakkar elaborated that Problem is, most SMEs undervalue the importance of branding, and fail to market their companies effectively .Establishing a strong brand name is fundamental to any small business in order that it may compete and grow was his mantra for success for the enthusiastic SME's at the session
Other eminent speakers who presented similar views on upgrading technology, quality and adopt modern management techniques and the need for sustained and integrated brand management and social media strategy included Mr Ajay Shaad Director,Value Education from -The corporate B School for family business and Mr Vinod Kumar Country Manager ,SRDC &Honorary VP India Sme Forum
The session ended with highlighting the need to created brand worth with cost effective brand and marketing techniques that have built and grown social media marketing for consumer engagement strategies. Successful SMEs should display a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and leverage that spirit through a defined culture in order to provide innovative services and products to grow profitabily
The session was the fifth event under the secrets of Success series and was successfully attended by more than 200 SME's from Rajkot and its surrounding clusters.
