There has to be a differentiation between the turnover sizes of companies and rules should be applied as such. Also, every word in the law should have a clear understanding not open to interpretation so that there is no confusion. Every layman should be able to understand their rights and responsibilities.

It?s important to understand the impact of large marketplaces on MSMEs. The government must support all those players who are trying to give alternatives to customers. We must encourage large marketplaces to work with MSMEs for capacity building

E-commerce is a beautiful ecosystem that enables people to conduct business independently. In terms of additional compliance, the proposed rules should not be applicable to businesses under a certain threshold. The compliances should be on those who have the social responsibility towards the consumers and stakeholders.

For the 2-3% scrupulous sellers who wrong consumers, we?re clamping down on the remaining 97-98% businesses and suffocating the industry. If these rules come in, we?ll be halting business growth and discouraging those who are willing to take risks in starting new businesses. An offline-online hybrid is the way forward.
