Reliance Commercial Finance in association with SDRC, held the 11th India SME Forum's Mumbai Edition which took place on 3rd November 2012 in The ITC Maratha, Sahar Andheri Mumbai, in the presence of more than 200 SMEs from and around Mumbai.
The Welcome Session started with Mr. Dinesh Chandra Tripathi Executive Committee Member - FISME & Managing Director NSD Global Trade Pvt Ltd delivered the welcome address to supportive SMEs, as well as Mr. Vinod Kumar, Country Manager SDRC, & Secretary, Jury Board, ISF presented a vote of thanks.
The first session about Branding and Technology had speakers, Mr. David Wittenberg, Mr. Ravinder Bhan, Mr. Shashi Ravulapaty, Mr. Cecil Joseph, Mr. Rajesh Chakrabarti. The session was highly relevant informative to SMEs. During the Q&A, on a query of SMEs still affected by problems like approvals, registrations, logistics and infrastructure. Eminent Speakers suggested that the SMEs can be louder and effective in raising their issues by getting united as that shall make them powerful.
In the next session on Funding, panelists Mr. K V Srinivasan, Mr. Ravi Tyagi, Mr. Jagannadham Thunguntla, Mr. Rajesh Dubey, Mr. Vinod Kumar focused on financing of SMEs, there was a discussion about Raising Funds, Debt Funding, Venture Capital/ Seed Funding /Growth Capital etc and Fiscal Discipline & Ratings.
Mr. Vinod Kumar, Country Manager & Senior Partner, SDRC India, moderator and convenor of the conference discussed various case studies about the SMEs who have been successful or been able to make a difference and exhorted the SMEs in Mumbai to create shining examples of a flourishing SME culture in the state.
