The Forum was inaugurated by Mr A.L.Aggarwal,Vice President,HCCI and President,Chandigarh Industrial Fasteners Association,Mr Anurag Aggarwal,Past President Mohali Industries Association, Mr Arun Mahajan,President ,Industries Association Chandigarh, Ms Sushma Morthania Director General India SME Forum and Mr Vinod Kumar Country Head SDRC &Honorary VP,India Sme Forum

The Magical words of Prahlad Kakkar did wonders in Chandigarh .The overwhelming SME's couldn't stop asking questions in an open session After listening to the Media guru there was burst of queries and the participants interacted with him on the importance of Branding ,Marketing and the use of the correct marketing and Branding tool to reach out to the selective desired customers .
The gist of the seminar focused on Sustainable Development and Financing for growth Technological advancement research and development ,skill development programmes and enhanced awareness about the assisting schemes and benefits and knowledge dissemination which can do wonders to upscale the level of Micro small and medium entrepreneurs in India in order to scale up and meet global competition.
Multiple discussions brought to light the development and opportunities that lies in Chandigarh for SME's sector .It was highlighted in the forum that an organized market needs to come up and working capital mechanisms needs to be regulated There are several other sources of raising funds like Venture Capital funds, through SME Exchange receivable finance and other capital .There needs to be an awareness through which the SME's should be able to know about these alternate sources.
The forum was well received and participative as the SME's raised concerns on the difficulties to get bank loans at the start-up stage and how to overcome the hindrances .They were eager to know the nuance of being competent and improve financial capabilities while becoming stable at the growth stage.
Mr Vinod Kumar ,Country Head SDRC &Honorary VP, India SME Forum summarized the session with his thoughts on the need for more and more integrated support for SME's to grow in the field of technology, marketing, get access to information , enhance credit worthiness. He emphasized that Indian SMEs must realize that technology is going to play a crucial role for growth of businesses which is a key factor in staying competitive in a fast paced global scenario and to succeed in a competitive environment.
The Forum was attended by around 140 Small and Medium Industrialists from Chandigarh Mohali and surrounding areas
