The Secrets of Success for Small & Medium Business - Season II" successfully hosted its twelfth event on 23rd November in Sun n Sand Hotel, in association with VIA (Vidarbha Industries Association (MIDC) Industries Association,and VED (Vidarbha Economic development council ) along with Reliance Commercial Finance a division of Reliance Capital, Bharti Airtel, Bank of India, BSE SME Exchange
The Forum was inaugurated by Mr Prafull Doshi,President,Vidarbha Industries Association,Mr Dipen Agarwal,President,Nag-Vidarbh Chamber of Commerce, , Ms Sushma Morthania Director General India Sme Forum and Mr Vinod Kumar Country Head SDRC &Honorary VP,India Sme Forum
The SME'sof Nagpur were very participative and openly discussed both issues and opportunities with the experts to understand how to be successful entrepreneurs and establish themselves as globally competitive
Also was discussed some practical problems of Sme on BSE listing such as weak financial strength, inability to provide adequate norms and other factors. As was highlighted in the session by Mr Sanjay Athalye, Chief Risk officer, Reliance Commercial Finance and Reliance Home Finance that accurate assessments obviously rely upon satisfactory information regarding the SME and its prospects and sustainability in the long run. Efforts to harmonies the standards and practices, therefore, need to be properly be coordinated to facilitate the objectives
Highlighting the economic opportunity of the city Mr Devendra Pareekh President ,Vidarbha economic development council stated that Nagpur is a potential business city and opens a door of opportunities in the tourism, IT agro processing sectors .With three IT Companies coming to the city will open up employment opportunities for more than 24000 professionals in the future.
Multiple discussions underlined the burning need to create an entrepreneurial environment and take advantages of the opportunities in a big way .There are several trade and Industry associations that are providing timely help to the members which is a positive influence for progress.
by Mr Chakradhar Dodke Assistant Director (IMT),msme-DI,Nagpur pointed out that, Nagpur has ample scope for entrepreneurs to commerce their ventures and pump in investment ,with transparent linkage with the Government bodies including the MSME Ministry, Banking Institutions and the Industry at large, the business prospects can be fully leveraged and the available benefits and subsidies can be adapted to channelize business needs and the Industry associations are very proactively trying to help its members in all possible way.
ISF believes that entrepreneurship and investment in profitable sectors will contribute highly in developing a potentially sustainable SME ecosystem and deliver significant economic gains apart from a progressive business environment.
Mr Vinod Kumar , Country Head SDRC &Honorary VP, India Sme Forum-moderated the sessions and also presented a case study on the need for all growing SMEs to create goal posts, a vision for long term and short term and the importance of nurturing brands
The conclusion was aimed to provide insights and understanding on taking advantage of the opportunities in the city that has a great infrastructure and several trade and industry associations that can liase with state and central government to provide the various schemes and benefits to the SME's
The event was successfully attended by over 150 SME's from Nagpur and surrounding areas
